Theater in the street yesterday evening in Chateau-Gontier. Surprise in every sense! Surprise because without an SMS sent by the C1 + and promotion made by the players themselves during the morning, few people knew that this show took place yesterday evening. It is true that communication is far from an exact science.
But back to our show: The play of the Faubourg Scap'in is a free adaptation of Fourberies de Scapin by Molière. The performance was given yesterday evening from 21h and the show ended at around 22:30. A brilliant troupe of youth actors played this piece before a hundred spectators. The quality of representation would have deserved a larger audience to encourage these young people in their work. Bravo to them for their game scene. Young spectators laughed chips in some replicas and adults have spent some quality time. This show deserves to return to Chateau-Gontier with better promotion and greater audience .... thank you for the culture of the city for allowing us to attend and more to bring back .... The expression on the boy's face holding the bat is priceless. Who says over-acting is a dead art?

I've never watched a production of this particular play but I hope a group here stages it. Between the kids and your photos, it looks so interesting!

Have a wonderful vacation, Laurent!

Quelle belle affiche!

Your photography if the actors is very good.

I read your lament about the lack of a large audience and it is sad to hear because most people would have stopped and watched had they known about it.

I have produced television shows and I can tell you that the actors are to blame, in some way, for not getting posters made or getting somebody to promote the show. My opinion, of course.

Thank you very much for visiting my Brookville Daily Photo blog and for the comment you left me there.
