There are four churches in Château-Gontier. This one is Saint Jean.

A little fun before the week end

Before going to the church it is possible to go to the toilets.

In Château-Gontier all is thought to bring best comfort to you.

Guess where we are?

Are we, under the seas with captain NEMO?

Not, we are in the Pays de Loire County , close-cropped mound with the top of an artichoke. (The colors natural and are not modified)

As the weather is not sunny in France we need colors in our life.

So, I decided to continue to show you more close up....because there are in flowers, the colors we would like to see all around us especially in this rainy summer.

This flower is a speciality of Britanny.

On the first picture I have modified the colors of it on the computer...the images under are true colors.

This year it's very beautiful in our garden because we had so much rain in the past 3 months.

This is hydrangea - All the flowers are till open - It won't change now.

More fun today

More fun today. I have stayed a little bit in my garden...no, there was not so much sun !!!
I don't believe we are end of June....There is so much rain during this month that we find mildiou on tomatoes.

This is garlic after the flower....I found funny to play with focus on my camera (in manual).
Theses photos are differents because of the big depth of this flower.

Today I'm sad - the sky becomes dark

Today I don't post a beautiful picture of Château-Gontier.
My spirit is not turn to show flowers, sun shine and old stones.

In the next months 113 families of the around of Château-Gontier will live dark days, because one member of the family will lost his job.

This factory was baught 2 years ago, the company is making profit...but not enough....so the jobs will move to India.

On each black T shirt there is the name of one employe of the factory....there are 113 T shirts

I hope for Indies that the job won't be cheaper on planet Mars....because may be they will lost their jobs in some years.... always more and more profit....

La halle

This building was built in 1882 - Before there was another building in wood built in the 15th century.

For the town hall (see under) it was built in 1991 - And the law court was built between 1883 and 1887 by the French architect Eugène HAWKE.

As promised some days ago, this is the two buildings together.

Picture took in the sunday early morning with a little fog.

Château-Gontier " le kiosque"

This is the bandstand, where the yesterday picture took place.
Some time the town construct near by a wooden, by this way peoples can dance.

Nice sundays of May

Every year in May the city of Château-Gontier organise events about song and theater.
This is called "Nice sundays of May".
Every sunday afternoon a group come to show their creation.
This show is free and always outside. Tomorrow I'll will put on the blog the "Kiosque".
It's where this action take place.
Every sunday afternoon of May in Château-Gontier peoples are smiling and laughing !!!

Château-Gontier is born in 1007. Our city organise many desmonstrations all along this year.

Château-Gontier The town hall

This is the Château Gontier town hall. A very modern building in the center of the town.
This photo was taken by night, by this way you don't see the old building (the law courts) just near by. I will show you this two buildings in few days.

The chateau Gontier harbour

Château-Gontier is along the river Mayenne, so we have a little harbour.....is really a little harbour. And the see is far away !!

Tomorrow, you won't find new picture because I will be outside of my home. I'm a sales man...so I have to visit my customers...that's life.

A birthday present

Last week it was my birthday. Axelle (my younguest daughter) offers me this pig.
I was very surprised by this creation, and also proud to see how young people are in the way of recycling. This present is also well done and the cap is a very cap for a pig.
This pig stand now proudly on my desk in job office.

Do you like horse riding ?

This is a car with statues to promote the horse race.
PMU is a French company, wich organise horse race every day in France.
Ouest of France is well known for horse breeding.

A funny competition in LAVAL

This competition is called the "NIFO-JET" Non Identify Floating Object.
Teams are companies around the town of LAVAL.
The departure was on Saturday afternoon - 10 Kms from LAVAL.
Boats are home made mainly this components providing by the companies.
Arrival was Sunday 4 PM -
The arrival is judged after you have passed the overflow. People from LAVAL loved this competition because it's very funny.

Les OFNI-JET à LAVAL ce dimanche.
Les équipes sont formées par les sociétés des environs de LAVAL.
Le départ avait lieu samedi après midi à 10 kms en amont de LAVAL;
Les bateaux sont fait maison principalement avec des composants fournis par les sociétés.
L'arrivée est jugée après que l'équipe et son bateau est passé le déversoir.
Les Lavallois adorent cette journée de Juin car c'est très drôle.

The Hospital

Following the fence around the new hospital, I promised to show the old hospital.

The building is in Château Gontier center along the river Mayenne.

Après la palissade autour du nouvel hopital , j'avais promis de montrer le vieil hopital.

Ce batiment est en centre ville au bord de la Mayenne.

The view from my bedroom

Sorry for that picture, but the view from my bedroom is the neighbour's house.
So I choose to make a photo assembly with the view I've got. I have played with colors.
If the next theme is a photo from the kitchen...you will see my garden !
