Theme day October 2008 :Lines

Thème de ce 1er jour du mois : lignes.
J'ai décidé de mettre des lignes dans votre champ de vision. Ce sont les lignes formées par la structure des fenêtres anciennes du couvent des Ursulines avec une vue sur la cours et le clocher de l'église de la Trinité.
Et oui nous ne sommes pas sur une ile paradisiaque dans l'océan mais bien dans le sud Mayenne.
J'espère vous avoir fait voyager un peu au travers de ce post.

I decided to put lines in your field of vision. These are the lines formed by the structure of the old windows of the Ursuline convent with a view of the way and the steeple of the Church of the Trinity.

Les virades de l'espoir - Lutte contre la mucoviscidose

Les virades de l'espoir ont débuté vendredi matin à Château-Gontier, par un lâché de ballons devant la mairie. Ensuite les enfants de plusieurs écoles de la ville et des environs ont participé à une course à pieds qui les a conduit jusqu'au jardin du bout du monde.
Le maire de la ville M. philippe HENRI et Emanuela MONTEBRUN ont donné le départ de la course sous un soleil radieu.
Emanuela MONTEBRUN est une athlète Lavaloise qui a participé aux JO de Pékin 2008 dans la discipline du lancé de marteau. Elle est détentrice du record de France depuis 2005 avec un lancé à 74,66m.

Manuela MONTEBRUN

The Virada of hope began Friday morning at Chateau-Gontier, a dropped ball at the town hall. Then the children of several schools in the city and surrounding areas have participated in a foot race that led up the garden side of the world.
The mayor of the city and Mr. Philippe Henri Emanuela MONTEBRUN gave the race start under a very nice sun shine.
Emanuela MONTEBRUN is a Lavaloise athlete who participated in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 launched the discipline of the hammer. She holds the record of France since 2005 with a launched 74.66 m.

YACCO Hoils

Cet ancien garage a été réhabilité avec des logements, mais les enduits extérieurs n'ont jamais été terminés. Les traces de l'ancienne activité sont restées sur les murs....pour le plus grand bonheur du photographe que je suis. Excellent week end à tous....il va faire beau....on va pouvoir faire des photos.

This former garage has been rehabilitated with housing, but the external coatings have never been completed. Traces of the former activity remained on the walls .... to the delight of the photographer that I am. Excellent weekend all .... it will be sunny .... we will be able to take photos.

Record du nombre de tour : 53 tours soit 58,3 km par 2 licenciés du club : Florian Lefeuvre, 12 ans et Marc-Antoine Thiélin, 11 ans.

Pour répondre à vos questions d'hier, je n'ai pas participé, ni mes filles, nous sommes restés spectateurs. Le jaune est la couleur du club je pense, les moutardes Amora n'ont pas d'usine à Château-Gontier. Le jaune c'est fun et c'est voyant. Les rues étaient fermées à la circulation pendant la manifestation.

To answer your questions yesterday, I did not participate, nor my daughters, we remained spectators. I think the yellow is the club color, mustards Amora have no factory in Chateau-Gontier. Yellow is fun and it's seeing. The streets were closed to traffic for the event.

Roller Pop 2008

Ce week end a été magnifique sur l'ouest de la France. Au programme hier à Chateau-Gontier : journée du patrimoine et Roller Pop. Les deux manifestations ont bénéficié d'un temps ensoleillé pour le plus grand bonheur de tous.
Roller Pop, sur cette image le départ à 14h00, beaucoup de participants ont commencé la course plus tard, le but étant de faire le plus grand nombre de tours en 3 heures.

This weekend was magnificent on the west of France. On the program yesterday in Chateau-Gontier: Heritage Day and Roller Pop. Both events benefited from sunny weather to the delight of all.
Roller Pop, in this image departure at 2 PM, many participants started the race later, the aim being to make as many laps in 3 hours.

Par dessus les toits. Over the roofs

Quand j'étais petit mes parents me disaient tout le temps de regarder où je mettais les pieds. De fait ayant grandi nous regardons toujours vers le sol et nos chaussures...il est parfois bon de lever le nez !! Cela permet de découvrir des collections de cheminées.

When I was little my parents told me all the time to watch where I put the feet. In fact we grew up always looking to the ground and our shoes ... it is sometimes advisable to lift the nose! This allows us to discover collections of chimneys.

Façade rénovée.

Le centre ville de Château-Gontier est situé dans un périmètre appelé secteur sauvegardé. Ce secteur comprend les bâtiments anciens ayant un caractères historique pour la ville.
Ce plan de sauvegarde est prévu depuis 2005 et s'arrêtera en 2015. Pendant cette période, toute rénovation sera étudiée afin de garder le caractère historique du bâtiment.
Contraignante cette réglementation permet de donner un certain charme à la ville. En contrepartie des subventions sont versées pour aider financièrement les propriétaires à supporter le surcoût des travaux. Ici surement une ancienne boutique réhabilitée en maison d'habitation.

The center of Chateau-Gontier is located in an area known as the protected sector. This sector includes the old buildings with historical characters for the city.
The backup plan is planned since 2005 and will end in 2015. During this period, any renovation will be studied to keep the historic character of the building.
Binding regulations that gives a certain charm to the city. In return subsidies are paid to help financially the owners to bear the extra work. Here surely an old shop in rehabilitated house.

Suite du voyage de M et Mme BENAUT en images. Hier matin ils ont été reçus à la mairie par M. Jean Marie MULON (directeur de la culture) et M. François HERRY (responsable du service information et communication). Nous avons visité les 2 bâtiments de la mairie (partie ancienne et partie moderne). La discussion a entre autre porté sur le fonctionnement démocratique de la ville et de la communauté de communes. Ian a pu prendre Laetitia CASTA en photo sous les traits de Marianne !
Ensuite nous avons visité l'église St REMI (dont vous trouverez des images dans les posts précédents). Puis nous sommes allés chercher Axelle à l'école où nos hotes ont été accueillis par M. BLANCHET le directeur.
L'après midi sous la pluie nous avons visité le musée Robert TATIN

Depuis le départ de nos charmants visiteurs Australiens d'Adélaïde, notre maison nous semble bien vide.

Continuation of travel M & Ms BENAUT in pictures. Yesterday morning they were received at the City Hall by Mr. Jean Marie MULON (Director of Culture) and Mr. François HERRY ( information and communication manager). We visited the 2 buildings of the town hall (old and modern part). The discussion among others focused on the democratic functioning of the city and the community of Cities. Ian has been able to take Laetitia CASTA on picture in the guise of Marianne!
Then we visited the church of St REMI (which you will find pictures in previous posts). Then we went Axelle look at the school where our guests have been welcomed by Mr BLANCHET the director.

Un peu fatigués par les émotions, la visite de Paris et le voyage matinal en TGV jusqu'à Tours et la route en voiture.
Hier après midi a donc été pour eux un moment de repos. Nous avons fait un tour du centre historique à pieds, et hier soir vers 22h un City tour by night.
Aujourd'hui ils vont assister à la rentrée des classes d'Axelle et d'Apolline et puis nos visiteurs lointain seront accueillis à la mairie. Cett après midi les activités dépendrons du temps.

A little tired by emotions, visiting Paris, early morning travel by TGV from Paris to Tours and the road by car to our city.
Yesterday afternoon was just a moment's rest.
We made a tour of the historic centre by foot, and yesterday evening around 10 PM a City tour by night.
Today they will attend the start of classes for Axelle & Apolline and then our distant visitors will be welcomed to the town hall. That afternoon activities will depend of the weather.

Roses trémières dans les rues de Château-Gontier

Les habitants de Château-Gontier aime leurs ville et la fleurissent. Ici deux pieds de roses trémières plantés directement sur le trottoir.

The inhabitants of Chateau-Gontier love their city and flourish. Here two feet planted hollyhocks directly on the sidewalk.

Mais les roses trémières même quand elles sont blanches, c'est plus joli en couleur. ;-)

But hollyhocks even when they are white, they are much nicer in color. ;-)
